all god’s step children

by
Yve S. MarI

A futuristic novel that is more relevant today than ever. Every generation there is a capstone piece of literature that captures a nation’s attention. There was once 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451. The deeply insightful novel on the impact of slavery throughout the ages and - what if - the roles of power between men and women were reversed?

The Year is 2084.

After surviving the effects of a war that lasted for much of her early childhood, Eden finds safety and security in a world established by her grandmother. With new laws and stringent views regarding men, she thrives and helps women until those beliefs are challenged. An unexpected encounter in the spring of 2084 leads to her being kidnapped. However, the time she is forced to spend with her captor causes her to question all that she’s been trained to accept as truth.

After her release, Eden, timid by nature, must learn to find the strength to confront not only her worldview but a system that now is ruled by a powerful rival, her cousin, Ilya. She must face hidden truths about her family and herself - all leading to a massive shift that impacts society for the better.

Get ready for an adventure that will have you transported to a time and place that may even be our future.
